The camping trip has been postponed, due to a lack of participation for the Camp inspection. We will be trying to go camping as soon as possible.
Final plans are being carried out for an overnight camping trip to occur over next weekend. We will travel and arrive after shabbas on Saturday, September 23, 2000. We will pitch tents, have a campfire, and sleep over, having breakfast, Sunday morning activities, possibly lunch and other activities, before returning. The SPL and ASPL have been notified, and counts are being returned from all patrols. Sufficient numbers are necessary for this trip to be a success.
This weekend's Troop Meeting will be held at our campsite, Camp Sayer (click for information). Our previously planned activities (first aid demo's.) as well as camp out planning are now on the agenda.
New Links have been added.

I have just received the following email from Trail's End.
They are responding to an email I sent them last week regarding the Kosher certification of their popcorn. That recent email included an earlier presentation of the issues in Kosher Certification, which I had sent to them exactly 10 months ago, today. They appended my emails at the end of their response.
Thank you for your inquiry. Our current plans are to move from the current KD certification to the more widely accepted Circle U designation. Our plans are to have this in place for the Fall 2001 Popcorn Sale. Thanks for your patience and your support.

I was pleased to receive a filled out Troop Resource questionnaire from all the committee members in attendance at our last meeting. The committee will be calling upon each and every family to participate in some way, this year and going forward. It would be best if we knew your talents so that we could request something that might be relatively easier to produce. The Troop Resource questionnaire is under Forms, on our web site (http://ShomerShabbatTroop54.tripod.com), where it can be viewed and printed from your web browser.
